Its a hard job being a bone fide rock god, and even us immortals need a break sometime, so the holidays are upon us, and I must laze and do nothing - so in my absence, a list of things you MUST check out until i am back in a few weeks...

REM - Around The Sun - severely underated, seek it out, listen to it, soak up its sunniness

Ben Folds - Songs For Silverman / bootlegs from his UK tour at www.the suburbs.org.uk - three months after it was released its STILL on constant play. This is shaping up to be my favourite album ever - and the fantastic fan site that has some very good recordings available for FREE from his warwick gig - feel the foldster in all his glory!

David Gray - his new album out in a fortnight or so, I can't wait, buy it, love it and sell your grandmother to get tickets to see him, I think he's only playing small venues this year...

Clem Snide - End Of Love - A new favourite of mine, discovered when Eef Barzelay, the lead singer supported Ben Folds in June. After an undeniably feeble heckle of "What washing powder do you use" from yours truly on account of his pristine white suit, he wowed us all, and the album is fantastic...

Wedding Crashers - I saw this movie last week, and it made me laugh so hard I nearly choked to death on some popcorn that got stuck... Why do you have to be Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller or Vince Vaughn to get a funny part in any movie right now? I could do that dammit - not that I'm bitter mind, they make me laugh, but I'm way better probably!

And finally

Extras - The new slab of genius from Ricky Gervais. And I'm gonna miss the next two episodes, so if anyone can video them for me that would great! But if I get any of that shitty Catherine Tate show on the end, I swear I'll come round and will gut you like a fish.... True.

Well, off to catch a plane my little ones, do as I ask, and you won't be bored.

Brits abroad, c'mon....

Stu
